Rebranded and transformed Ironcircle into a B2B2C AI-powered cybersecurity SaaS platform, designing an intuitive LMS experience and an AI assistant to drive engagement, program completion, and measurable learning outcomes across organizations and end users.

IronCircle - AI Powered LMS

A bit of background:


When I joined, IronCircle was known as ThriveDX and primarily partnered with universities.
The company offered a platform that integrated defensive and offensive cybersecurity simulations directly into the university curriculum.

In early 2025, Ironcircle pivoted from delivering custom cybersecurity training services to building a scalable SaaS platform.
The goal was to reach more organizations, automate workflows, and integrate AI-driven learning.

Just a week after I joined, We then rebuilt the platform from scratch to align with the new vision and capabilities.

The Pivot in a nutshell

Led the strategic rebrand and aligned the product experience to the new LMS vision.

Market Research

First, let's understand the current global situation.

The Goal:

Analyze competitors, trends, and opportunities to position IronCircle effectively in the SaaS
cybersecurity market through in-depth competitive analysis.

After carefully analyzing our competitors and market practices for cybersecurity Learning Management Systems (LMSs),
I will prepare a detailed report with my recommendations for enhancing our product. Following that, we will develop a roadmap
outlining all the features we have agreed upon for the next quarter (Q1).

Rebranding Strategy

Objective: Align the brand with the SaaS pivot and AI positioning.

Brand Pillars:

  • Intelligent
  • Secure
  • Scalable
  • Clear

Tone of Voice: Confident, product-driven, proactive, AI-forward

Strategic Focus: Shift perception from lecturer in the classroom → modern SaaS product

My Role:

Led the brand transformation, aligning marketing and product experiences.

Visual Identity System

Objective: Build a scalable visual foundation applied across marketing and products.

Logo: Simplified, geometric, digital-native signals scalability and intelligence.
Color Palette: Blaze orange for urjency, movment, and momentum. electric IceVolt/blue/ accents for AI, standard state colors for compliance.
Typography: Clean, geometric sans; clear hierarchy for dashboards and content.
Component Language: Buttons, cards, tables, microcopy aligned to brand; structured grid system for dashboards, transitions & micro animations.
Brand → Product Alignment: Design system consistently applied across IronCircle LMS interfaces.

My Role:

Designed a visual identity system that scales across product and marketing while maintaining brand integrity.

The color palette & logo that we've agreed upon

Using this color theme, I experimented with a lot of different compositions - We decided to go with Dark-Mode as a default

I started with the basics.

Objective: Translate the brand into a tangible, usable LMS interface.

Onboarding

Design a structured onboarding experience that clearly
communicates the platform’s value, personalizes the journey
based on user goals, and guides learners toward their
first meaningful achievement with clarity and confidence.

User Dashboard

A centralized, data-driven dashboard presenting
compliance metrics, AI-generated insights, color-coded
risk indicators, and streamlined content management
- enabling users and admins to act quickly
and make informed decisions.

Syllabus

A fully mapped learning journey that guides users from initial platform entry through structured modules,
hands-on labs, assessments, and ultimately certification
delivery via email - ensuring a clear and measurable
progression path.

Challenges

An adaptive lab and challenge system designed to track
completion metrics, evaluate performance, and provide
contextual AI guidance throughout each program
to reinforce learning and improve outcomes

Learning Platform

An intuitive, user-centered learning environment designed
with clear navigation, structured progression, and minimal
cognitive load enabling users to seamlessly move through
courses, labs, and assessments while focusing on learning
rather than figuring out the interface.

AI Avatar Assistant

An AI-powered avatar assistant that provides
real-time guidance, personalized recommendations,
contextual explanations, and proactive support
throughout the learning journey.

AI Lab Studio

A customizable AI-driven lab creation tool allowing
users to generate hands-on cybersecurity simulations
tailored to their skill level, learning goals,
and desired difficulty.

📈 Outcome & Reflection (Business Impact)

The rebrand and AI integration transformed Ironcircle from a static learning
system into an intelligent, engagement-driven platform.

🤖 The Role of Ember (AI Assistant)

Ember became a central driver of engagement and progress.

By providing:

  • Contextual nudges when users stalled
  • Personalized learning recommendations
  • Real-time explanations during labs
  • Smart reminders for incomplete modules

Ember reduced friction and uncertainty - two major causes of learning drop-off.

Users who actively interacted with Ember were:

  • 38% more likely to complete full programs
  • 2x more likely to continue to advanced certifications

The AI assistant shifted the experience from passive consumption to guided progression.

🎯 Engagement & Learning Effectiveness

The introduction of interactive labs, adaptive challenges, and AI-powered
feedback significantly increased active engagement.

Instead of simply watching content, users:
